Perfect for grand entrances, joyful exits, or a surprise parade through the crowd, our brass band creates moments your guests will never forget. The 2nd line was originally performed at New Orleans Jazz Funerals. The parade was led by a band (the 1st line) and the group of followers who join in the dancing and celebration behind the main procession is known as the 2nd line.
Planning a Convention?
Energize your attendees with a lively conference kick-off featuring dynamic Pop music including songs by many Canadian artists as people take their seats or as a short vignette followed by National Anthems played in a traditional Brass Band style. Cookin’ With Brass is also a perfect option to close the business session and move the delegates to the reception with a high octane parade. Our strolling brass band is also a great entertainment choice to animate the entire trade show floor.
Getting Married?
Let us lead your recessional as newlyweds in style. After the Officiant announces: “I now pronounce you married”, Cookin’ With Brass, dressed in white dinner jackets and formal attire, will lead the happy couple, the Bridal Party and guests in a fun 2nd line parade. As an option, we can even print up the Bride’s and Groom’s name on a large marching bass drumhead. GREAT Photo Op and keepsake.
