Their ecstatic stage shows are inspired by such great contemporary brass bands as Youngblood and Lucky Chops. These influences create a truly unique modern West Coast Funk.

They have brought their Funky Brass sounds to many special events including The Vancouver Symphony Day of Music, The Whiskey Smoke at Hastings Racecourse, Granville Block Party, Main Street Car Free Day and Sounds of Summer in Surrey. Cookin' With Brass has also performed for corporate events for such cleints as Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of BC & Yukon in addition to major gala evenings including The Soirée for Family Services of Greater Vancouver...even a wedding!

Based in Vancouver BC, the band features diverse, talented musicians that proudly include female and BIPOC horn players. Their mission is to spread joy and a sense of community through Funky brassy music. The signature finale of every concert breaks the barrier between musicians and audience with a boisterous interactive 2nd line parade through the crowd.
